"I am against the Government telling people what to do with their own bodies. Even though I don’t even take aspirin, I do not believe I have the right to tell others they can’t. The drug war reminds me of the prohibition against alcohol and the crime and corruption wave that swept the country because of it. I know that the best deterrent against using drugs are the negative consequences it brings to an individual's ability to lead a viable existence. However, the government intercedes in that also by giving disability payments to drug addicts. This is a case where the cure is worse than the disease. The cost, the lost rights, and the results prove the war to be a catastrophe. This war has caused misery far beyond what use could do."
